A Glenn Beck-backed news site is the antidote to the "lamestream media," former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said Friday.

Palin tweeted an endorsement of the new website "The Blaze," a conservative outlet founded by the Fox News host Glenn Beck.

She tweeted:

Log on 2 "theblaze.com" & change the course of information gathering in America! Site helps truth be told;we've had to put up w/LSM too long

Palin has made traditional media â€" who she calls the "lamestream media" â€" a frequent whipping boy.

The 2008 vice presidential nominee and potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate is close with Beck, the fervently conservative Fox personality. The pair had ! appeared together on the National Mall in August for the "Restoring Honor" rally, as well as on the anniversary of 9/11, at a service in Alaska.
