A California man pleaded guilty Thursday to threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the aftermath of the vote on the healthcare reform law.

After originally pleading not guilty in April, Gregory Lee Giusti arranged a plea deal with federal prosecutors, admitting he made more than 30 harassing phone calls to Pelosi (D-Calif.) In one of the calls in March, Giusti said if Pelosi voted for healthcare reform legislation, "don’t bother coming back to California cause you ain’t gonna have a place to live."

Under the terms of the plea deal, Giusti, 49, will be sentenced Dec. 2 to 21 months in prison and is ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Pelosi, her family and staff after his released.

Giusti was arrested in April, one of several individuals to threaten lawmakers in both political parties after the healthcare debate.

A 66-year-old Florida man was sentenced to more than two years in prison Thursday for threatening Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite (R-Fl! a.)

The Associated Press reported:

A disheveled and weepy Giusti told the judge he made the phone calls because "I was upset with her passing the health care law."
