Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who is among the Senate's most active Twitter users, has drawn on his social-media habits in a new campaign ad.

The video opens with two elderly women discussing Grassley, who is 76, as if he's ill.

"I heard Chuck Grassley has a Twitter ..."

"Oh ... Can it be cured?"

Grassley interrupts with a voiceover.

"Oh, not that kind," he says, chuckling. "I like to use new technologies like Twitter and Facebook just to keep in touch.

"I'll tweet, I'll text, I'll do whatever it takes. I work for you."

The senator's Twitter habit made the news in late August when the Iowa Gazette published an interview with his wife, Barbara, who said she doesn't like how much her husband tweets â€" especially during church.

"I had had to tell him to knock it off," she said, reportedly making a motion as if slapping the senator’s hand. " 'Put it away.' "

Grassley faces Democratic challenger Roxanne Conlin, whom he currently leads by over 20 points.
