Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) used Twitter to note a few attendees of an Eid dinner Wednesday night held by the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association.

"Congr'l Muslim Staffers Ass'n Eid Dinner too; Sen [Roland] Burris [D-Ill! .], [Sen. John] Kerry [D-Mass.] showed; Hannah Rosenthahl, Envoy against AntiSemetism joined too," he tweeted.

Eid is a celebration that takes place over several days at the end of Ramadan.

Ellison continued later in the evening with a tweet about Rosenthal, who is the State Department's Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism.

"Earlier today Hannah Rosenthahl held Hill briefing on Imam delegation to Auschwitz, WWII Nazi camp. Imams shared moving observations."

Rosenthal, along with other officials, had traveled in early August with a group of imams to former Nazi concentration camps Dachau and Auschwitz. She praised the group Wednesday for its "powerful" condemnation of anti-Semitism.

Ellison is the first Muslim elected to Congress. He won his seat in 2006.
