Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) joked on Twitter Monday about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's use of Spanish slang during an appearance on Fox News Sunday.

Palin, commenting on Arizona's controversial immigration law, had remarked that Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) "has the cojones [testicles] that our president does not have."

Cornyn tweeted:

I didn't know Gov. Palin was bilingual!

Palin went on to say that "We're very, very thankful that they [Brewer and other governors] are willing to go toe-to-toe and go all the way to the Supreme Court if need be and get this thing resolved."

Brewer filed an expedited appeal to the 9th Circuit last Thursday after a federal judge issued an injuction against certain controversial provisions of the bill.
