Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took a moment during a radio interview Wednesday morning to remark on the value of Twitter, a tool he uses frequently to communicate with constituents and press.

"This is a great, great force for freedom and democracy â€" for people to be heard," he said on KMLE Country 108, an Arizona station.

McCain also described to listeners the challenge of using Twitter to gauge constituents' attitudes. 

‪"Many of those opinions that I receive [using Twitter] are not repeatable on this show," he said.
