postheadericon Tea Party, GOP establishment throw down over fiscal policy in Twitter fight

A top aide for a super PAC raising money for House Republicans warred with several representatives for conservative action committees on Twitter Tuesday over whether party leaders are going far enough to address fiscal policy.

The exchange illustrated a rift within the Republican party over whether the establishment political leaders could act more quickly to address the deficit and debt. According to staff members from the fiscal-conservative group Club for Growth and the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Action for America, the answer is yes.

But Brad Dayspring, formerly the chief spokesman for Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and now working for a political group run by two of Cantor's former aides, warned not to “let the perfect be enemy of the good.”
