postheadericon Romney focused on economic message while stumping in Jacksonville

Mitt Romney continued to hammer President Obama over the deficit Thursday at a brewery in Jacksonville, Fla., even as the political world swirled over reports a supportive super-PAC had been considering a controversial ad campaign linking the president to his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

But Romney â€" who had already repudiated the potential ad campaign in a campaign statement and interview earlier Thursday â€" made no mention of the controversy, instead sticking to his standard stump speech critical of the president's economic record.

"It will crush the American dream if we don't take a different course," Romney said.
