Mitt Romney's campaign said Wednesday the failure of the president's budget to garner a vote in either the House or the Senate was evidence President Obama was "incapable of leading the country.

“President Obama is so unserious about the budget challenges facing our nation that his budget proposal has now been voted down unanimously in not only the House, but also the Democrat-controlled Senate. With more than five hundred members of Congress opposing his budget â€" and not a single one willing to support it â€" this President’s failures of leadership and fiscal responsibility are obvious to everyone. President Obama is clearly in over his head and incapable of leading the country," said Romney Policy Director Lanhee Chen in a statement.

The budget resolution, based on the president's 2013 budget proposal, was defeated 99-0. The House earlier this year also unanimously rejected the president's budget.
