postheadericon RNC hits Obama with web video saying country is 'not better off'

The Republican National Committee quickly delivered a scathing web video in response to a speech President Obama made at Ohio State University on Saturday.

The video starts out with Obama giving a speech in 2008.

"In 2008 Obama said, 'the question in this election is not 'are you better off than you were four years ago?'" as video of Obama making the 2008 speech goes. "The real question is 'will this country be better off four years from now?'"

"Four years later" the next frame reads. "Are we satisfied? No."

"Are we satisfied? Of course not," Obama says. "The housing market's still weak. Deficits still too high, states are still laying off teachers, first responders. This crisis took years to develop and the economy's still facing headwinds."

While Obama is speaking in the web video statistics like "roughly 12.5 million Americans remain unemployed" according to CNN and that the national debt under Obama has increase! d by $5 trillion according to the U.S. treasury department.

The video ends with a frame saying "not better off."

Obama's speech at Ohio State University was the first official one of his reelection campaign.

"Ohio, we cannot give him that chance. Not now. Not with so much at stake,” Obama said at Ohio State University, his voice growing louder with every line," Obama said in the speech. "We’ve been through too much to turn back now."
