New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo â€" considered an early favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 â€" is planning to write a book detailing his philosophy on governing, multiple media outlets reported this weekend.

Cuomo, whose father, Mario, was heavily recruited as a potential Democratic nominee during his three terms leading the Empire State, has so far denied interest in a presidential run. But late last month, Cuomo admitted the speculation was "flattering" and "fascinating."

Cuomo's decision to publish the book â€" slated for release in 2014, one year before the next Democratic presidential primary â€" will only fuel further the speculation. President Obama notably released his book, "The Audacity of Hope," less than three months before announcing his bid for the Democratic nomination, while Mitt Romney's book, "No Apology," was published in March of 2010.
