A tough campaign week may have just gotten worse for Newt Gingrich, with Bloomberg News quoting a source close to Sheldon Adelson saying that the casino mogul - who has already funneled $11 million into a Super PAC supporting Gingrich - does not plan to donate further to his campaign.

For Gingrich, the challenge coming off a tough Florida loss last month was to stay relevant until Super Tuesday by raising money and solidifying his position as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney. But Rick Santorum's wins in Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado have instead coalesced support around his campaign, with Gingrich instead looking for another miraculous come-from-behind.

Meanwhile, a Super PAC supporting wit! h Santorum's campaign told Bloomberg the money has been "rolling in" since the former senator's upset wins, including a $1 million donation earlier this week.
