Former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman reiterated his disagreement with Mitt Romney on China Thursday, the same day Romney reaffirmed his position in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal.

“Let’s just say that it’s not unusual for candidates to be saying certain things about China,” Huntsman said on MSNBC. “I’ve seen a lot of candidates who later became president who use a lot of rhetoric. It’s much easier to talk about China in terms of the fear factor than the opportunity factor."

Huntsman and Romney disagreed over their policy positions on China during the campaign, and Huntsman said on MSNBC "it’s not surprising that Republicans disagree with each other from time to time.”

But Huntsman also endorsed Romney as the GOP nominee, so criticizing his op-ed the same day it's published might be a little surprising.
