Gingrich: 'We should care about the very poor, unlike Gov. Romney'

Newt Gingrich continued to hammer Mitt Romney's comment that he wasn't "concerned about the very poor" at an event Thursday in Las Vegas.
"I believe we should care about the very poor, unlike Gov. Romney," Gingrich said at an event in Las Vegas. The former House Speaker went on to say that rather than repairing the social safety net â€" Romney's prescribed approach to caring for the least fortunate â€" the "poor need a trampoline so they can swing up."
"Unlike Gov. Romney, I really care about making sure every person has the right to pursue happiness," Gingrich added.
