postheadericon Poll: Romney leads, despite same poll numbers and stumbles by Cain

Mitt Romney remains the frontrunner to win the Republican presidential nomination, despite not gaining or losing any ground as well as stumbles by his rivals, a new poll found.

According to the Washington Post-ABC News poll, 24 percent of Republicans want Romney to win the nomination. Virtually an identical amount â€"25 percent said the same thing of the Massachusetts governor when voters were last surveyed by ABC News and The Washington Post in October. In September Romney was also polling at 25 percent.

Behind Romney is Herman Cain with 23 percent. Cain has recently been battling allegations that he sexually harassed two women while he was president of the National Restaurant Association. Rick Perry has the support of 13 percent of voters, which falls in line with other recent polls which have found him dropping in the polls. Newt Gingrich placed fourth in the poll, with 12 percent. No other candidate was able to win double digits in the poll.
The Washington Post-ABC News poll comes as Cain continues to battle the sexual harassment allegations. On Sunday Cain refused to further answer questions about the allegations.

The poll was conducted between October 31 and November 3 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points and a margin of error of 5.5 percentage points when it surveyed just Republicans. The report of the sexual harassment allegations was published on October 31.
