postheadericon Poll: Republicans struggling with Latino voters as Obama maintains popularity

While President Obama's poll numbers are sagging nationally, endangering the president's prospects at re-election in 2012, Republicans have thus far been unable to sway the group of voters emerging as increasingly influential in national politics - Latinos.

Two-thirds of Latino voters approve of the job Obama is doing as president, and he holds wide leads over each of the top three Republican candidates vying for his job according to a new poll released Tuesday by Univision News.

The president leads Herman Cain by a 65 percent to 22 percent margin, Mitt Romney by 67 percent to 24 percent, and Rick Perry 68 percent to 21 percent.
