Rick Perry might be having a moment.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, referred to the GOP presidential candidate’s recent verbal debate stumble twice this week.

On Thursday, Issa “forgot a member’s name” in a hearing, as noted by committee member Rep. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Twitter.

“I'm having a Rick Perry moment," Issa said, according to Murphy.

Perry’s memory lapse, when Perry sought to name three departments he would eliminate as president and couldn’t recall the third, ended up being one of the most memorable moments of last week’s GOP debate. The 54-second freeze continues to haunt the candidateâ€"but at least one GOP leader might be turning it into a popular reference on Capitol Hill.
