Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad (R) on Wednesday warned Mitt Romney that his limited campaign time in the state, coupled with the decision to skip a candidate forum this weekend, could impact his viability not only in Iowa's caucus, but throughout the Republican campaign.

“I think he’s making a big mistake by not coming here and spending more time," Branstad said at energy forum hosted by Politico.

Branstad went on to say that a poor showing in the state could reverberate further down the road.
