Grover Norquist took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend his controversial anti-tax pledge, following The Hill report that some House lawmakers are looking to distance themselves from the conservative anti-tax activist’s pledge to never raise taxes.

Norquist took a shot at Rep. Robert Andrews (D-N.J.), who is listed on Norquist’s Americans For Tax Reform website as having vowed to never raise taxes.

Andrews and other lawmakers told The Hill they thought their pledges were for the Congress in which they were made, and not for life.
