Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson’s staff say he uses Twitter “like a GPS” to let his constituents know what he is up to.

Thompson, a Pennsylvania Republican, said since the January shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) at a constituent event in Tuscon, it’s been somewhat taboo for congressmen to live-tweet their locations when they’re in their districts. That doesn't deter him, though.

“Being in Washington is no excuse to not have a connection with the people I serve at home,” Thompson said in an interview with The Hill. “They know where I am, what I’m doing, what I’m thinking and what I’m working on, and most importantly my vision for this country.”
