postheadericon Chris Christie goes to New Hampshire for Romney

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will go on the stump in New Hampshire for Mitt Romney on Wednesday.

The Republican governor will be featured at two appearances for Romney, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. Christie will then go to Boston to watch Romney participate in a Republican presidential debate. Christie's New Hampshire appearances are the first public events he's done for Romney.

Christie endorsed Romney roughly a month ago. Previously, Christie's name had repeatedly come up as a possible addition to the Republican presidential field, despite strong de! nials from the New Jersey governor that he had any interest in running for president.

In endorsing Romney, Christie stressed that he was more interested in his current job than joining the Massachusetts governor on the presidential ticket should Romney get the nomination.

"That’s going to be Gov. Romney’s choice," Christie said in October. "I’ve told him my only interest is helping him get elected and serving my state."

Christie said he expected to continue to be New Jersey's governor through 2013.

"I have every expectation of serving my term through 2013," the New Jersey governor said at the time.
