Republican presidential hopeful and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney used his speech to the Florida Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday to fire back at his chief competitor Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s claim to having a sympathetic position on illegal immigration.

“My friend Gov. Perry said if you don’t agree on his position to give in-state tuition to immigration, you don’t have a heart,” Romney said. “If you’re opposed to illegal immigration, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have a heart. It means that you have a heart and a brain.”
