The GOP congressman who replaced former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) this week promised he learned from his predecessor’s example when it comes to social media.

“I do have a Twitter account. But I will use it fully clothed,” newly elected Rep. Bob Turner (R-N.Y.) joked in the New York Post.

The office chair from which the ex-congressman tweeted some of the sexually explicit pictures that ultimately led to his resignation was among the furniture Turner found in his new congressional ! office â€" prompting his wife to demand a professional cleaning and new furniture.

The Post reported that among the discoveries in Turner’s new office at Rayburn 2104 was a toothbrush with “Anthony” printed on the handle.

“Weiner left his toothbrush behind! It literally says ‘Anthony’ on it,” a Post source from Turner’s office said. “We made the assumption who Anthony was.”

While Peggy, Turner’s wife, requested that cleaners come in to scrub the office’s bathroom, remove the chair and put in new carpet, the congressman was more conciliatory later in the day.

“I’ll defer to the taxpayers,” Turner said. “We’ll use what we got. That’s not the most important thing I have to deal with.”

After swearing Turner in as a member of Congress on Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) recommended in a tweet that people follow Turner on Twitter.
