Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) endorsed Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) for president on Tuesday.

"Today I am proud to endorse my friend @GovernorPerry campaign for President," Sandoval tweeted.

Sandoval's endorsement came a day after Perry received the endorsement of another prominent Republican governor: Lousiania's Bobby Jindal. Also on Tuesday, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) endorsed former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) for president.

Sandoval has appeared on a number of shortlists for possible Republican vice presidential candidates.

Both Jindal and Pawlenty have indicated that they are not necessarily interested in the vice president spot on the 2012 Republican presidential ticket.
