postheadericon Cain, Coulter share a Twitter moment at CPAC

Friday's Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla., was an opportunity for many Republicans to attend speeches and meet-and-greet sessions with their political heroes, including the nine Republican candidates for president who took part in Thursday's debate.

But for one of those candidates, CPAC-FL was the site of an exciting chance encounter of his own. Herman Cain, the former pizza magnate, excitedly tweeted: "I ran into @AnnCoulter at #CPACFL today!" and linked to a picture standing next to the famous conservative pundit.

{mosads}Of course, the meeting might have been equally as exciting for pundit Ann Coulter â€" in March, she tweeted, "Watching Herman Cain on CSPAN. He is clearly the only choice for president if Christie doesn't run."

Coulter also expressed some love for Cain during Thursday night's debate.

"Herman Cain crushed tonight," the conservative firebrand tweeted. She later responded to reader questions by suggesting that while Cain's lack of prior elected experiences probably handicapped his ability to win the nomination, she thought he would be an ideal choice to lead White House tax policy.

Both Coulter and Cain spoke Friday at the CPAC event.
