It is a privilege to live in beautiful Colorado, a land we cherish for both its mountains and plains. Colorado is not only blessed with great beauty but natural resources as well - resources that, when responsibly developed, create jobs and opportunity. Resource development in the Rockies, however, faces different technical, economic and legal challenges than energy development in the Gulf of Mexico or elsewhere.

But whichever energy-producing state we look at, one thing we all have in common is that government rules and regulations are holding us back from meeting our full potential to produce more domestic energy.
