Give Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) credit for winning the Republican leadership straw poll. But the real shocker was Jon Huntsman finishing a strong second place, even with relatively conservative straw poll voters.

While Ron Paul supporters have liked some things I have written and strongly disliked others, there is no doubt, as I have written often, that his people are more committed to him than many supporters of other candidates. I give Paul credit; I give his supporters credit; he will outperform his polls in turnout and small-donor support.
