Last month, The Washington Post ran a front-page story on the HOME Investment Partnerships program, identifying “a trail of failed developments in every corner of the country.” In response, members of Congress have already vowed to look deeper into the HOME program.

As Congress does that, it’s important we get the facts right.

The largest federal block grant designed exclusively to produce affordable housing for low-income families, HOME helps communities build new affordable homes and rehab existing ones.
