Increasingly heated budget negotiations prompted a little trash talk on Twitter Thursday.

Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) taunted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) for leaving the Biden deficit reduction committee in a tweet:

".@EricCantor: Do you always leave the kitchen when it gets too hot?"

Braley's tweet came shortly after Cantor announced on Thursday that he would no longer participate in Vice President Biden's deficit-reduction negotiations. Cantor tweeted about his reasons earlier on Thursday:

Regardless of the progress made, the tax issue must be resolved before discussions can continue. The H! ouse doesn't support tax increases.
