House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Sunday made a joke about embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) during a speech to students.

During his commencement address at Ohio State University, Boehner quipped about the odd nature of both of their names.

"When you begin to go out there to ask people to vote for you, they're probably not going to vote for you if they don't know your name," he said. "My name looks like 'beener,' 'bonner,' 'boner.'

"Thank God it's not Weiner," he added, drawing laughter and applause.

Weiner, of course, has come under fire for sharing inappropriate photos and messages with women other than his wife using social-networking sites.

Democratic leaders have called on him to resign, but he has rebuffed their entreaties, instead opting to take a leave of absence to seek professional treatment. Boehner's office is examining that request.
