During an interview Monday on Fox News, Donald Trump called Newt Gingrich's win in the South Carolina primary "nothing short of amazing" and questioned Mitt Romney's handling of his tax records.

Trump credited Gingrich's debating skills for his come-from-behind victory, praising his ability to turn questions about his relationship with his ex-wife into an asset.

"If you look a week ago, or two weeks ago, he was over, and he's done an amazing job. His debating skills are phenomenal. He took probably the most negative thing you could ask somebody and made it into a positive," Trump said. "He knocked it out of the park. You have to give him a lot of credit."
