postheadericon Mitt Romney wins nicely, Ron Paul wins big

Mitt Romney's win in New Hampshire was on the stronger side. If he keeps winning nearly 40 percent he will be nominated, though this is by no means certain. The really big winner is Ron Paul, who is moving into a clear second-place position, will raise even more money, will play a very powerful role at the convention and is perfectly positioned for a third-party run.

Let’s see how close Romney gets to 40 percent in South Carolina and Florida. If he does, he can wrap up the nomination by staying near 40 percent on Super Tuesday, though it is very possible this does not happen. The race is far from over. What is most impressive about Ron Paul is that he keeps increasing his upward trajectory, week after week. He is the only candidate who has done this consistently for months. I expect another blow-out money bomb soon.
