Many of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) colleagues sent a flood of support her way through Twitter following her resignation announcement over the weekend.

Fellow Arizona Rep. Jeff Flake (R) called her “a class act” and and Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) declared it “a pause, not an end.” Flake and Grijalva will sit with Giffords during Tuesday’s State of the Union speech.

Giffords was shot in the head at a constituent event near Tucson last January. She announced on Sunday that she will step down from Congress this week in order to focus on her recovery.
