It’s truly amazing how much false information is being written about the MEADS program. The truth is MEADS will save the U.S. tens of billions of dollars over the next 20 years and we believe a cost-effectiveness analysis by the Government Accountability Office can provide an unbiased independent substantiation.

Here are the facts: The U.S. Government has spent $1.5 billion on MEADS design and development. That’s only 58 percent of the full bill because of cost sharing between the U.S., Germany and Italy. Moreover, critics cite a program that is behind schedule, when in fact the predominant delay in the program is due to a protest by the losing contractor, Raytheon, that lasted two years and disrupted the multinational funding stream for five years.
