postheadericon Romney 'checks in' to Foursquare for first time

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) joined the social networking tool Foursquare, checking in for the first time on Monday.

Romney "checked in" to Foursquare for the first time from a "national call day" he's hosting in Nevada, from which hundreds of supporters are making calls to solicit donations.

Romney tweeted Monday:

First check in. I'm at National Call Day in Nevada #mittcallday (@ Mitt Romney's National Call Day w/ 21 others) http://4sq.com/l7yIDr

Foursquare is a social networking tool that allows users to "check into" a location, often through Twitter, linking them with other users at a given event or location. If a user checks in with great frequency, he or she can earn "badges" giving them seniority over other users at the given check-in point.!
