Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1.8 million-strong Twitter following may span the globe, but some of his biggest fans seem to be in Russia. 

In response to his trade mission to Moscow this week, the California governor's TwitPic feed is full of comments like "Welcome to Russia! Nice to see you here!" and "Hello Arnold. Glad to see you in Moscow. 'hasta la vista' :)"

He received 232 comments â€" a high mark â€" on TwitPic from Moscow's Red Square.

"Terminatot [sic] forever … Welcome to Russia, Mr Schwarzenegger … We love you," said one.

"All of us love Arnold :) you are a great man!!" read another. 

South American fans are also active on Schwarzenegger's Twitter pages â€" his Twitpic feed saw a marked increase in traffic after he posted of photo with Chilean president Sebastian Piñera on Sept. 24.

"Terminator salvará a los mineros," or "Terminator will save the miners," read one.

Schwarzenegger has been in Moscow since Sunday. After two full days of events and time with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, he met with former President Mikhail Gorbachev on Tuesday (see photos below).
