A tweet from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) Tuesday morning mistook West Virginia â€" where endorsee John Raese is running for Senate â€" for Pennsylvania.

The original tweet, now deleted, read:

Pennsylvania:makes sense 2 send GOP 2 DC 2 avoid PA economic disaster that will occur under Obama/Pelosi Cap & Tax scheme;workers need Raese.

It was replaced soon after with the following:

PA & WV: makes sense 2 send GOP 2 DC 2 avoid economic disaster that will occur under Obama/Pelosi Cap & Tax scheme;workers need Raese.

Raese also received an endorsement from Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) on Tuesday. He and Democrat Joe Manchin, the popular governor of West Virginia, are in a tight race for the seat.

Palin has 279,106 Twitter followers. 

She tweeted again later to clarify the endorsement.

"All energy producing states need WV's Raese in DC 2 stop Obama/Pelosi Cap&Tax;that's PA,AK,NV,CA,etc;WV sending a"D"perpetuates the problem," she said.
