Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has quietly done more than 250 events for Republicans this cycle, more than doubling the number of events Vice President Biden's done on behalf of Democrats.

McConnell, the top Republican in the Senate, has done more than 50 events for Republican candidates during the September work period, and over 250 events for Republicans during the 2010 cycle.

By contrast, Biden is scheduled to hold his 100th event for a Democrat on Monday, when he campaigns in New Hampshire for congressional candidate Anne McLane Kluster.

The events by the top Senate Republican have, no doubt, help shore up GOP candidates' finances and raise money for nation Republicans coordinating Senate Republicans' campaign efforts.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), for instance, announced on Friday that it had raised $6.2 million between Oct. 1-13, bringing its total receipts to $92.6 million for th! e cycle.

If Republicans manage to win a net gain of 10 seats in the midterm elections, the GOP would retake the majority in the Senate, and McConnell would likely become majority leader.
