Federal prosecutors on Thursday charged a 38-year-old Philadelphia man for allegedly threatening House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (Va.) during the healthcare debate.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania charged Norman LeBoon with  threatening a public official and with transmitting in interstate commerce a threatening communication.

{mosads}LeBoon is accused of posting a YouTube video online in March in which he threatened to injure or kill Cantor, the second-ranking House Republican.

"Remember Eric ... our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given," he allegedly said in the video. "You are a liar, you're a Lucifer, you're a pig, a greedy f------ pig, you're an abomination, you receive my bullets in your office, remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifer's abominations."

The charges against LeBoon are the latest in a series of indictments and convictions of people ! who threatened lawmakers in the wake of the contentious healthcare debate.

Cantor was front and center during the spate of threats, receiving criticism from Democrats after he said that two of the party's leaders were using the threats against members on their side of the aisle as a "political weapon."

LeBoon was arrested in March but declared unfit for trial by a federal judge in April. He was ordered to undergo four months of psychiatric treatment, and is still under fed! eral custody.

After his arrest, LeBoon told federa! l agents that the Virginia congressman is “pure evil," will be "dead," and that "Cantor’s family is suffering because of his father’s wrath."
