First a series of polls shows Democrats moving from 10 points down to tied, or even slightly ahead, in surveys of all voters. Not every poll shows this, but Gallup and a number of polls show Democrats gaining as much as 10 points in polls of all voters.

Now the new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll shows Democrats only three points down among likely voters, a significant improvement. The poll also shows rising enthusiasm among certain key Democratic groups such as blacks and Hispanics.

Republicans will win seats in the election, but how many seats is far from clear. Folks, we got ourselves a real campaign now! Do not believe anyone who tells you otherwise.
