Securing important patient protections in the recent health reform law was a real victory for breast cancer survivors and advocates.  But these victories will mean little if the reforms are not implemented properly or if they are perceived to be a finish line. 

As the midterm elections approach, we at Susan G. Komen for the Cure are challenging candidates all across the country to promise to fight for the breast cancer rights of their constituents if elected.  In conjunction with election season and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we have unveiled a new Breast Cancer Bill of Rights â€" a clear, straight-forward platform for engaging activists and challenging decision makers.
