Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.) will endorse Mitt Romney for president on Monday.

"It has not been my practice to endorse candidates in primary elections, but as I look at the direction our country has been taken under this president, I worry for our children and our grandchildren about our future," Mica said, according to CNN. "And, as I look at the field of candidates in this election, no one matches the outstanding business and elected executive credentials of Mitt Romney."

The endorsement from Mica, the chairman of the House Transportation Committee, comes about two weeks before the Florida primary. 

Other Florida House members who endorsed Romney include: Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R-Fla.), Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R), Rep. Connie Mack (R), ! Rep. Jeff Miller (R), Rep. Tom Rooney (R) and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R).
