Jon Huntsman denied that his 2012 presidential campaign was a dry run for a 2016 White House bid and said that he didn't need his father's money to compete in the GOP primary during an interview the morning of his most pivotal primary.

Huntsman also predicted that New Hampshire would provide a surprise when results came in Tuesday evening - a necessity for the former Utah governor's campaign to stay afloat.

"I have a sneaking suspicion that tonight may be another replay of New Hampshire stepping up and upending the conventional wisdom," Huntsman said on NBC's "Today."
