The chairwoman for the Democratic National Committee on Wednesday sought to slow Mitt Romney's momentum as the winner of the Iowa caucuses, the first vote of the 2012 primary season.

"When is a win a loss? It's a loss when you're Mitt Romney, and you spent the most and only beat the guy who spent the least in the state by eight votes," Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said on CNN. She also pointed out that Romney won fewer votes in Iowa in 2012 than he did when he lost the state's caucus vote to Mike Huckabee in 2008.
