Michele Bachmann predicted on Tuesday that she would "surprise a lot of people" in Tuesday's Iowa caucus results, despite low polling in the state. 

"I think there is a lot of soft, hidden support that's going to come out tonight at the caucuses," Bachmann said on Fox News. Iowa's caucuses taking place on Tuesday are the first Republican primary vote in 2012. Bachmann has staked her campaign on the state, where she won the Iowa straw poll last August. Since then, Bachmann has fallen to dead last in polls of likely caucus voters, earning just 7 percent in the most recent Des Moines Register poll.
