White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer doesn't think House Republicans are having a "Braveheart moment" in the payroll tax cut battle...and isn't so sure they want to.

Pfeiffer tweeted: "The GOP equated their efforts to defeat a tax cut to Braveheart, but do they actually remember how the film ends?Answer:Not well for them"

Earlier this week, a member of the House Republicans' Tea Party caucus referred to the 1995 film "Braveheart" in explaining his and colleagues' opposition to the payroll tax cut extension com! promise negotiated by the Senate. He said the party rallied behind Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) as though he were their “William Wallace."
