Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney visited former President George H.W. Bush on Thursday. 

Romney, campaigning in Texas, stopped by the elder Bush's Houston home, according to multiple reports.

He stayed about 30 minutes and spoke with Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush. It was their second meeting this year. Romney and Bush are friends, according to Romney's campaign.

Bush has not endorsed a candidate for the GOP primary, and a spokesman indicated he is unlikely to do so. "Probably at 87, he's happy staying close to home," Jim Appleby told CBS. 

He added Bush does enjoy venturing out for Texas A&M University and Houston Texans football games.
