postheadericon Republican says it's 'creepy' Obama's campaign requesting GOP email addresses

A House Republican thinks it's a little "creepy" that President Obama's re-election campaign is offering donors a chance to enter the email address of Republican friends.

Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Fla.) tweeted Wednesday: "Obama campaign asking for donors to give them GOP email addresses. Tricky, yes. Creepy, definitely."

{mosads}Obama's Deputy Campaign Manager Julianna Smoot sent out an email on Tuesday playing on the "frustrating" partisan disagreements taking place between Obama supporters and cons! ervative friends, family or acquaintances.

"Know someone on Facebook or Twitter who, day after day, populates your feed with the latest right-wing talk-radio chatter?" Smoot wrote in the email. "Today, we’re offering you the opportunity to make a donation to the Obama campaign inspired by your favorite conservative friend or relative."

Obama's campaign website now offers donors a chance to enter the name and email of "a Republican in your life" that will be used to "send them a message letting them know they inspired you to donate."
