Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said it's been quite a while since he heard so much hype about a plan as he's heard about President Obama's jobs.

"Now as far as this secret job plan that we're all waiting for â€"job creation and Nirvanaâ€" I haven't, frankly, heard this much hype about a secret plan since Nixon had a plan for us to get out of Vietnam," McCain said Tuesday on Fox News.

Obama is set to unveil a new plan for job creation in the next few days after Labor Day. Republicans have criticized Obama for waiting too long to unveil a plan with the unemployment rate hovering around 9 percent.

On Monday former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) said he planned to unveil his own plan on Sept. 6! , the same day as Obama. Both Romney and Obama have been quiet about the details of their respective plans.
