Besides its role as a Republican stronghold, Utah is also taking a unique place in the 2012 elections: both former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. (R), both of whom are running for president, have roots there.

President Obama spent a big chunk of his youth in Hawaii.
